New Delhi: Fatima Bosch of Mexico has made history by winning the Miss Universe 2025 title. The results, announced on Friday, declared Fatima the winner. Miss Thailand was the first runner-up, while India’s representative, Manika Vishwakarma, was eliminated after the swimsuit round and did not make it to the Top 12.

Fatima Bosch was born on May 19, 2000, in Villahermosa, Mexico. At the young age of six, she began facing challenges such as dyslexia, ADHD, and hyperactivity, but she never gave up. At 17, she won the Miss Tabasco title and made her mark on international platforms.

Fatima has been working with children suffering from cancer for the past nine years. Her social work has earned her special recognition worldwide.

Recently, a controversy between Fatima and the Thai pageant director, Nawat Itsaragrisil, during the sash ceremony on November 4th, also made headlines. According to reports, the director allegedly called Fatima “stupid,” to which Fatima objected, stating that it was an insult to women. The dispute escalated to the point where the director even ordered security personnel to remove her. Despite this incident, Fatima’s Miss Universe win remains a topic of discussion.

India’s Manika Vishwakarma’s early exit from the competition disappointed Indian fans, but her participation was commendable.
