The world-renowned Bargarh Dhanu Yatra commenced today in Odisha with traditional fervour and cultural enthusiasm. Recognised as the largest open-air theatrical festival in the world, the event transforms the town of Bargarh into a living stage, recreating scenes from the life of Lord Krishna.
Marking the beginning of the historic festival, President Droupadi Murmu extended her warm greetings to the people of Odisha and devotees across the country. She wished for peace, prosperity, and cultural harmony through the celebration of this unique heritage festival.
During the Dhanu Yatra, various locations in Bargarh are artistically redesigned to depict Mathura, Gokul, and Vrindavan, bringing mythological narratives to life. Thousands of artists and performers participate, while lakhs of visitors gather to witness the grandeur and immersive storytelling.
