Bhubaneswar, Odisha – The Odisha government inaugurated the state’s first Smart Climate Park in the capital city, Bhubaneswar, today. This innovative park is designed to combine environmental conservation, education, and technological innovation, making it the first of its kind in India.
The park features solar-powered gardens, rainwater harvesting systems, and smart tracking sensors. For children and young learners, there is an interactive exhibition and eco-adventure zone to help visitors understand the importance of environmental protection and the impact of climate change.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, during the inauguration, stated, “Odisha aims not only for economic development but also for leadership in environmental sustainability and education. This Smart Climate Park will set new benchmarks for innovation in these areas.”
Experts believe that the initiative will not only provide educational opportunities for local citizens but also promote eco-tourism. Visitors can use a smart guiding app to access information about plants, water sources, and solar installations across the park.
The government further announced that within the next three years, at least five more Smart Climate Parks will be established across major cities in Odisha.
