Public sector banks in many regions may see partial disruption due to staff participation in the strike. Branch-level services such as cash withdrawals at counters, cheque clearance, and paperwork could be delayed. However, digital banking services including UPI, internet banking, and mobile apps are expected to function normally.
Transport and Commuting:
Public transport services such as state-run buses, private buses, taxis, and auto-rickshaws may be affected in some states. Daily commuters could face inconvenience, especially during peak hours. Railways and air travel are generally expected to operate as usual, though minor delays cannot be ruled out in certain areas.
Offices and Business Activity:
Government offices may witness reduced attendance, leading to slower administrative work. Private offices and corporate establishments are likely to function based on local conditions, with some companies opting for work-from-home arrangements.
Schools, Colleges, and Essential Services:
Educational institutions are expected to remain open in most places, though local administrations may announce closures depending on the situation. Essential services such as hospitals, emergency services, pharmacies, and milk and vegetable supply are usually exempted from the bandh.
Public Advisory:
Citizens are advised to plan their day in advance, avoid non-essential travel, and rely on digital payment options where possible. It is also recommended to stay updated with local advisories issued by authorities.
