The sudden demise of Prateek Yadav, half-brother of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, has created an atmosphere of grief across political and social circles in Uttar Pradesh. Prateek Yadav was the son of late Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav and his second wife Sadhna Gupta. Though he largely stayed away from active politics, he remained known due to his association with one of Uttar Pradesh’s most influential political families.
